Cathy Bowman Buckingham

Cathy Bowman Buckingham (nee Seal), 64 of Westminster, MD passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Carroll County Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Galen Buckingham for 14 years and the late Dreu Bowman for 28 years. She was born May 28, 1958, in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Homer Seal and the late Mae Seal (nee Barnard). Cathy worked for herself as a screen printer/embroidery for her company Spin Wheel Fashion. She was a member of Winfield Fire Department & the Winfield Ladies Auxiliary. Cathy enjoyed spending time with family and going to Charlestown. Surviving in addition to her husband is her son Anthony Bowman; her sisters Helen Hoff, Juanita Russell, sisters-in-law Gloria Seal, Debra Bowman, Disa Strevig & husband Mark, Ruthann Pittinger & husband Ernie, and brother-in-law Wayne Buckingham & wife Faye and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers Hugh Kyle Seal, Howard Seal, and Harold Seal, brother in laws Norman Hoff, Jerry Russell, and Craig Oliver The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 4-8 PM with a memorial service by the Winfield Ladies Axillary at 7:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School), where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 11 AM.
