Graveside service for Cathy Millard, age 72, of Miller Grove, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Miller Grove Cemetery with Wayne Darty and Brian Millard officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Reid Burns, Derek Millard, Levi Millard, Josh Millard, Brayden Morgan, and Dillan Blevins will serve as pallbearers. Ms. Millard passed away at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Catherine M. Millard was born on December 20, 1952 in Webb City, Missouri to Harold and Gracia (Chrisman) Long. She married Bruce Millard in Neosho, Missouri on January 2, 1969. Cathy loved her children and family and they came first in her life. Cathy worked as a school bus driver where she made an exceptional impression on the children. In later years, she worked and retired from Southwestern Bell. She was a devoted wife and mother. Cathy enjoyed going to the beach and loved her dogs dearly. She spent every spare moment with her grandchildren and they will cherish those memories. Cathy was a devoted Christian and active in her Church at County Line Baptist Church.
Cathy Millard is survived by her children, Bruce Millard, Jr. (Shannon) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Brian Millard (Beth) of Joplin, Missouri, Rodney Millard (Desirae) of Kilgore, Texas, Levi Millard of Cumby, Texas, Casey Zimmerman (Travis) of Miller Grove, Texas, and Ashley Millard of Miller Grove, Texas; grandchildren, Daylan Millard, Reid Burns, Brayden Morgan, Kamryn Millard, Josh Millard, Savannah Millard, Kamrynn Sanchez, Braylenn Sanchez, Derek Millard, Haylee Millard, and Chandler Millard; great-grandchildren, Jadx Cummings, Kamdyn Pugh, Kaylynn Morgan, Eli Sanchez, Carter Millard, and Kyler Millard; brother, Richard Chrisman; and sister, Georgeann Stockton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gracia Long; husband, Bruce Millard; granddaughter, Kristen Ann Millard; and sisters, Lisa George, Vicky Vincent, Donna Coleman, and Gayle Baker.
