Cathy Peggum Sullivan

Cathy Peggum Sullivan, 66, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on February 27, 2026. Cathy was born on August 21, 1959, in the Bronx, New York, to the late John and Emma Rae Mo tt Sullivan.

She was preceded by her husbands, Xavier J. Pilataxi Sr. and Willie LaHara, sisters, Maureen Bridgit Paradee, Shelia Fay, and brother Jerry Sullivan.

She is survived by her loving family, son Xavier J. Pilataxi Jr. (Xiangqin fu), sister Erin Sullivan (Roger Earle), brother Shawn Sullivan (Nancy), nieces, Rachel Beck (Brian), Krista Stoger (Matthew), Brianna Sullivan, nephew John (Amanda) Sullivan, and great nieces and nephew.

Cathy Peggum enjoyed life and was well-liked by many who knew her. She was happiest when she engaged in activities she enjoyed. Cathy was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She found spiritual guidance and spoke about all she learned there. She was grateful for the friends she made there and the missionaries who visited her home. 

Cathy also spent time playing video games on her PlayStation and online. She looked forward to traveling to New York to spend time with her son. Her other hobbies included going to the movies and shopping.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 839 Chestnut Street, South Charleston, WV. The viewing will take place at 10 am, and the funeral service will follow at 11 am.
