Cathy Ann Robinson Zumwalt passed away from cancer and returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 11, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born on November 2, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cathy lived her life with a deep devotion to her family and a genuine love for all those she met. She cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother above all else.
Family was Cathy's greatest joy. She was a loving and devoted wife to her eternal companion, Douglas Zumwalt. Doug and Cathy were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 18, 1976, and together with unwavering love and faith they raised five children: Brent Zumwalt (Shanna), Jacquelyn Zumwalt Horn, Michael Zumwalt (Jeanette), Patrick Zumwalt (the late Andrea), and Christina Zumwalt Olsen Burgon.
She is survived by her husband Douglas, her five children, her nine grandchildren, her sister Judy Young. They, along with many extended family members and friends, will miss her dearly.
Cathy was a woman of many talents. As a child, she played the violin and enjoyed drawing. Throughout her life, she loved creating photo albums and scrapbooks, making origami, and expressing her creativity in countless thoughtful ways. She loved to read, collect old tins and miniature tea sets, make Halloween costumes, do word searches, and play card and board games. Some of her simple joys included popcorn and pickles, and always with a Diet Dr Pepper.
Cathy found deep happiness in serving others. Through her church service, she showed compassion to anyone in need-quick to offer a ride, a meal, or anything she had to help someone struggling. She also loved serving in the community alongside Douglas through Central City Little League in Salt Lake City, where they made many lasting friendships and memories.
She is preceded in death by her father William George Robinson, her mother Ilean Elsie Clark Robinson, her sister Georgene Robinson, her brother Robert Robinson, her son-in-law Scott Olsen, and her daughter-in-law Andrea Zumwalt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse located at 6592 Haven Maple Dr, in West Jordan, Utah 84081.
