Catisha Rugley Obituary
From a young age, Catisha displayed a love for reading and a bright, intelligent spirit. As she grew, she cherished spending time with family and friends. Her warm, beautiful personality made it easy for her to connect with others, and she touched many lives with her kindness and charm. Her greatest joy was found in reading the Bible and drawing closer to Jehovah,God. A devotion that guided her throughout her life and demonstrated perseverance in everything she endured. Even after being diagnosed with cancer, she continued to fight courageously, never allowing her diagnosis to diminish her spirit or stop her from doing what she loved. She remained positive, staying connected with loved ones and uplifting those around her with her warmth and resilience.
Catisha peacefully departed this life on Thursday, November 20, 2025. She leaves behind her beloved children: Antwone Rugley, Irin Rugley, Tyetiana Rugley, Daraylin Rugley (Alician), Desmond Rugley, Noelle Johnigan, and Henry Johnigan. She also survived by her devoted siblings: Darius Rugley (Terea), Tracy Brooks (Erica), Paul Edwards (Christle), Stacey Brooks, Veta Brooks, Teela Anderson (David), Chelsie Brooks, Notia Brooks, and Shakira Colbert.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her, but she will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday December 12, 2025 at East Texas Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
