Cecelia Hickerson was born to Andrew and Agnes Revis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1943. She passed away peacefully on October 6, 2023 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The family moved to Mays Landing, New Jersey when Chi Chi was 13 years old where she lived in the area for 62 years until moving to Port St. Lucie in 2018.
She was a master at traditional home cooking and baking; she operated a catering and cake decorating business with her sister and lifelong best friend, Claire and worked in the service industry for 42 years. Proper etiquette, decorating for parties, holidays and even nightly dinners were her passion.
She loved reading, crafting, crabbing, Hallmark, swimming, gardening, coffee and without any doubt ICE CREAM! Her fondest memories were riding her motorcycle, playing with her monkey, Darwin who she adored, and taking care of MaiTai, her favorite dog friend.
Her 12 grandchildren gave her purpose in life. She cherished her time with each and every one of them, traveling back and forth from New Jersey to Florida to attend family events, holidays and parties.
Chi Chi will be greatly missed by her beloved children, son, Chris (Crystal) Risley, and daughters, Stephanie Welch, Wendy Kenyon, Holly Risley, and sisters Betty Bacon, Karen Revis, along with daughter-in-law Kathy Risley. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, PJ (Nydia), Jacquie, Zack, Jessie (Christopher), Devon, Emmy, Michael (Jessica), Matthew (Hailey), Danielle, Breanna, Christopher, Mason, and great grandchildren, Ainsley, Lorelei, Delilah and Cecelia. She was predeceased by sons, Slugger, David, along with her sisters Joyce Revis, Claire Shea.
She was loved by her entire family and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 3:00-4:00 PM with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
