Cecil was born on October 7, 1935 and passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Cecil was a resident of Platteville, Wisconsin at the time of his passing. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Rev. Mike Short will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274. Friends may call from 4:00 ' 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, or from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cecil C. Block Memorial Fund.
