Cecil M. Geron, age 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October , 2024. Born on July 26, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Cecil was known for his dedication to his family and his in life. He was a devoted football fan, proudly cheering for the Steelers and the Wildcats. In addition to his love for sports, he cherished music, movies, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of going for walks.
Cecil was an unwavering support to his loved ones, embodying the spirit of hard work throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Cecil Murrell Geron, Sr., mother, Shirley Ann Hardin, wife, Linda Carol Geron, three brothers, and bonus father, Edward Sinclair. He also fondly remembered his pet, Deuce.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Melinda (Michael) Alcorn and Cecil "Chip" E. Geron, along with grandchildren Jamie (Kevin) Johnson, Linda (Jeremy) Wendelgast, and Jonathan (Kasie) Alcorn. Cecil is also survived by several great-grandchildren and his sister, Mary Hornback, as well as countless family members and friends who will treasure his memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. His funeral service will commence at 1:00 pm, and burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
