Cecil Hoskins Obituary
Cecil was born July 23, 1942 in Somerville, the son of the late Cecil Hoskins, Sr. and Sarah Bell Kee Hoskins. He was employed at Wilder Youth Developmental Center in Somerville as an officer before his retirement. Cecil enjoyed gardening and watching Western movies.
Mr. Hoskins is survived by his wife, Geraldine Watson Hoskins; his children, Tammie Anderson (Shawn) of Potts Camp, MS, Steve Hoskins (Nancy) of Covington, TN, Lisa Stephens (Gary) of Williston, TN, Jim Miller (Barbara) of Somerville, TN, Mike Hoskins (Sandra) of Olive Branch, MS and Tina Halley (Glenn) of Mt. Pleasant, MS; four brothers, Jimmy Hoskins of Somerville, TN, Larry Hoskins of Somerville, TN, Kenneth Hoskins of Somerville, TN and Rickey Hoskins of Somerville, TN; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Brenda Kirk, Linda Young and Elizabeth Parker and his granddaughter, Noel Stephens.
A visitation for Mr. Hoskins will be from 1 until 2 P.M. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery at Laconia.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Steven Hoskins, Jr., Andrew Hoskins, Dexter Anderson, Brandon Halley, David Miller and Kyle Childers. Honorary pallbearers will include Michael Ray Hoskins.
