Cecil Kimrey Obituary
Cecil H. Kimrey, 92, of Efland, died April 12, 2023. Born in 1930 in Orange County, North Carolina as the youngest child to the late Charles Arthur and Lennie Mae Baldwin Kimrey. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert(Lela) and Hassle(Doris) and sisters Audra Moon(Elmer) and Cora Copple(Ray). He's also predeceased by his first son Cecil II(Cessy). Survivors include his wife, Judith Porterfield Kimrey, daughters Lorraine Hines(Phil) and Dawn Lloyd(Dennis), sons Doug(Pam), Dana(Kathy) and David(Sarah), 13 grandchildren, 17 great – grandchildren, sister-in-law Vicky Oakley(Tony), brother-in-law Dwight Mace(Jenny), as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Services will be held at Efland United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00am with the burial to be held in the Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the DUKE ICU team, Duke step down unit and the Hock Family Pavilion staff and personnel for the excellent care given.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the James Dunn Fellowship Hall at Efland United Methodist Church or to Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina.
Walker's Funeral Home of Hillsborough in Hillsborough is serving the Kimrey Family.
