Dr. Cecil Lue-Hing

I was fortunate to have known Cecil as a professional friend for my entire career, and he was highly influential to my development at many stages. So fortunate to have seen him for the last time in October in DC, when he was celebrating the 25th anniversary of having been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. He was a pillar of influence in environmental engineering practice and research. May his memory be a blessing.

Dr Cecil-Lue Hing was an accomplished environmental professional. More than that, he was a good friend. He was a great supporter of the Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Department - and served on the Advisory Board for many years. His loyalty to Washington University in St. Louis was deep - and he helped out in many ways, including having a named scholarship to support the next generation of students. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, Cecil was very active in the Environmental Engineering community, and will be missed by many. His memories and contributions will remain!
