Cecil Jackson McLean, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on October 31, 1937, in Kannapolis, NC, Cecil lived a life dedicated to family, community, and service.

Cecil’s professional journey began with the A&P company, where he worked from 1960 to 1980. He opened the warehouse with the A&P company in Greenville in 1967. He later became the proud owner of Westside Auto Parts and contributed his expertise at a vehicle service center in Greenville County until his retirement. His work ethic and commitment to his craft were evident throughout his career.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Cecil served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960. This period shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty that he carried into all aspects of his life.

Beyond his career and service, Cecil cherished his hobbies and interests. He was an avid fisherman who found joy and solace in the tranquility of nature. His passion for racing drove him to sponsor a race car, which brought him immense pride and excitement. He was a dedicated member of the Judson/Brandon Masonic Lodge and a Hejaz Shriner. He was also a member of the Moose serving recently as governor. Cecil was known for his generosity and commitment to helping others.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife, Eleonora Puma McLean, whom he met while he was deployed, and they married on June 18, 1960; his son, Robert McLean; his daughter, Vanda McLean Drew; as well as five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry fond memories of him in their hearts.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Bob and Charlie, and his sisters, Clatie and Jurell. He is survived by his younger sister, Ann.

His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
