Cecil Ray Smith

Cecil Ray Smith, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013, in his home. Born in Town Creek, AL, he was retired from the U. S. Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 26 years of service. Cecil is survived by his wife, Carol Smith; four children, Diana Davis and husband Darrell, Marty Smith and wife Melissa, Sonya Lawson and husband Chris and Randy Smith and wife Sharon; four step-children, Judy and Michelle Callahan, Cyni Howell and Tommy Turner; two sisters, Jean Manley and husband Vern Feuling and Mary Ann Smothermon and husband Johnny; five brothers, Burlon Smith and Betty Perry, Aubrey Smith and wife Linda, Delmer Smith and wife Debbie, Jesse Foster and wife Brenda and Tomme Foster and wife Sarah; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at 10 a.m in the funeral home chapel.
