It's great to read about Cecile and how she was so thoughtful of others. I did not know her before today but although she is gone, she will not be forgotten. 21st anniversary- We will not forget!

Remembering Cecile on the 20th anniversary of 9/11...

It has been a long time since the world lost you and so many other innocent lives, and yet your legacy lives on. As we read the obits here, we learn about amazingly sweet people like you and I hope that I can learn to be a better person by reading about others. Much love to your many friends and family members.

I walked a mile for you (mile #322 ) on 6/1/14 as a dedication to your life.

One year after the attack, my employer at the time presented us with a box of buttons each with the name of a 9/11 Hero on it. I happened to choose the one with Cecile's name. I downloaded her picture, attached it to the button, and decided to wear it every year at this time. I now see her as a representative the event. I never met Cecile, but she will always serve as my personal liaison to those that perished on September 11, 2001.

Tita Cecille, you've left me two more angels on earth, your nephews will be taken care of. Let me have a wee chance to be able to close my hands with them, you're the only one capable of that. My name is Karrie. I attend St. Pius high school and this week we are celebrating the lives of the people who died on 9-11. Every student was given a wrist band with a name on it.We are remembering the people and our prayers are with you in this hard time.

I still can't believe your gone.I will always remember your laughter but the one place you remind me all the time is "Home Goods". I still remember staring at you last summer, we visited New Jersey, you were sitting in a rocking chair and reading a flower hardcover book. You looked so peaceful then. Up to now I wonder why I stared at you at the time.I never did that before. That's how I will always remember you,Tita Cecil. You may not have known how much you mean to me and and my family. You are missed a lot.Before you were near heaven,now you are in heaven.

We have planted a dwarf flowering crab apple tree in memory of Auntie Cecile. She has been in my life since she came to this country and I was about 8. The tree is now adorned with lights. Being a short but abundantly flowering tree is a metaphor for Auntie Ces. You are loved and missed.
