Cecilia Kwartweng

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecilia Kwarteng, a beloved matriarch and pillar of strength to all who knew her. Cecilia departed this life on November 27, 2025, at the age of 71.

Born on September 9, 1954, Cecilia's life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering faith. A proud daughter of Thomas Adu-Gyamfi and Mary Konamah, both of whom preceded her in death, she was also predeceased by her husband, Albert K. Kwarteng.

Cecilia migrated from Ghana, bringing with her a spirit of determination and an indomitable work ethic. She established herself as a self-employed trader of goods, working tirelessly to provide for her family and serve her community. Her infectious laugh and kind heart endeared her to many, and she was affectionately known for her strong faith and generosity. Cecilia took great pride in nurturing and caring for her children, as well as anyone who found themselves in need.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother, instilling in her children the importance of education. Her legacy is reflected in their accomplishments and in the love they continue to share. Cecilia's children, Andrina Yankah (Kwesi), Sandra Kwarteng (Lord), Vincent Kwarteng, Belinda Kwarteng, Roger Kwarteng (Elizabeth), and Eno Frimpong (Edward), along with her cherished grandchildren Renee, Adrian, Avery, Liam, Madelyn, Eden, Ariel, Isabell, Emma, and Elyse, survive her and carry forth her spirit.

Cecilia is also survived by her loving sisters Felicia, Georgina, and Abena; and her brothers Dennis (Lydia), Yaw, and Charles. She was also preceded in death by her sister Margaret. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service to others.

The memorial service to celebrate Cecilia Kwarteng's life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her kindness and generosity.
