Cecilia Marsack, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and quiet devotion. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Marsack, with whom she shared a lifetime of partnership and devotion.
Cecilia was the loving mother of eight sons: John (Kathy), Joe, Jim (Rosemary), the late Paul, Dave (Debbie), Mike (Leslie), Richard (Vickie), and Don (Jennifer). She was the proud grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 8 grandchildren, each of whom she cherished with the same warmth and joy that she brought to every part of her life.
A nurse by vocation and nature, Cecilia embodied compassion and selflessness. Her true passion, however, was raising her eight boys, a calling she fulfilled with tireless love, patience, and fierce loyalty. She was their constant, their comfort, and their greatest advocate.
Cecilia found joy in the simple pleasures of life-weekend garage sales, long walks in the neighborhood, and dancing under the stars at Metro Beach. Those lucky enough to hear her sing knew the sweetness of her voice, especially her grandchildren, who joined her in Christmas caroling while the smell of her homemade cookies filled the air.
Cecilia lived a life rich in love and purpose. Her kindness, humility, and quiet grace will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.
A private family service will be held in Cecilia's honor. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Raymond at Great Lakes National Cemetery, where they are reunited once again in eternal peace.
