Cecilia VanHaverbeck Obituary
She was born May 26, 1930, in Warren, the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (nee Rumph) Brozowski. Her marriage to Henry Charles VanHaverbeck was Saturday, August 2, 1958, in Warren. They spent 51 loving years together before "Hank's" passing July 6, 2010.
Cecilia and Henry moved to Richmond in 1974. Together they owned and operated VanHaverbeck Homes, Inc and VanHaven apartments in Richmond. She enjoyed playing Euchre with her friends and family, spending time with her dog, Snookie. Faith was a large part of Cecilias life, loving time spent at Life in Christ Church.
Surviving are a son, James; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Michael Shenk, Joyce and Mark Butros and Joan and Douglas Dunkelberg; ten grandchildren, Vincent (Erika) Shenk, Stephen (Ashley) Shenk, Micaela (Jeffrey) Heber, Caroline (Davis) Horner, Brad Butros, Brett Butros, Abigail, Anna (Chris) Ferguson, Kara (Cory) Markham and David (Blakelee) Dunkelberg; great-grandchildren Blake Ferguson, Ryan Ferguson, Luke Ferguson, Matthew Markham, Michael Shenk and Evangeline Horner. The family would like to specifically thank Kathie Gavlinski for her dedicated friendship and support.
The family honors the memory of Cecilia and invites you to visit and share memories Monday, February 16, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Paul Heid will officiate. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond.
Memorials are suggested to Gideons Bible International.
