Celia Guerra Obituary
June 12, 1948 – September 15, 2025
It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Celia Villela Guerra, who entered eternal rest on September 15, 2025, at the age of 77. Celia was born on June 12, 1948, in Los Indios, Texas, and was lovingly raised in San Benito, Texas. In her later years, she resided in Conroe, Texas, where she continued to share her warmth and love with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Reyna Guerra, her parents Narciso Villela Sr. and Celia Hernández Villela, and her brothers Joe Ángel Villela and Jose Santos Villela.
Celia is survived by her children: Leticia Diaz (Jose), Melissa Canales Garza, and Michael Joseph Guerra. She will also be remembered dearly by her siblings: Natalia Pantoja (Jose), Juan Villela (Sylvia), Benito Villela, Narciso Villela Jr. (Lucila), and Raul Villela (Christina).
She was a proud grandmother to:
• Melissa's children: Alexandria Alise Canales (Maria), Jacelle Miranda Garza, Jordan Isaiah Garza
• Leticia's children: Stephanie Nicole Diaz (Sasha), Jose Diaz Jr. (Angela), Emily Rebecca Diaz (Jesse)
• Michael's children: Ayedyn Joseph Guerra, Michael Joseph Guerra Jr.
Celia was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren each of whom brought joy and light to her life.
Celia will be remembered for her kindness, her deep love of family, and her ability to bring people together with laughter and care. Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to her family will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038). Services will begin at 1:30 PM, with loved ones encouraged to arrive by 1:15 PM.
