Celia Maiocco Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parente Funeral Home Pre-Planning & Cremation Services - Fairfield Center on Dec. 27, 2025.
Celia S. Maiocco, 97, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025. She was a loving grandmother, devoted wife and mother and a caring friend and sister. She cared deeply for her family and took it upon herself to take care of anyone who needed her.
She dedicated her life to taking care of her husband through his long illness. She lovingly raised two daughters grounding them in her strong values and helped raise her 2 grandsons who were her pride and joy. Family was everything to her. Her Sunday dinners of homemade tomato sauce, pasta and meatballs were family favorites and her holiday meals and cookies were epic.
Known for her kindness, sweetness and compassion she was always there to lend a helping hand. She was a devout Catholic who said her prayers every night and was especially devoted to St Anthony and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
People often called her the "energizer bunny" because she just kept going without stopping. In her later years she thrived at Cambridge Manor, where she made many friend. Until the very end of her life she kept active with her daily walks. She was always ready with a funny remark or a friendly smile for the staff and residents. She was especially close to her devoted caregiver, Alex, who lovingly cared for her for over five years. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors include her devoted daughters, Linda Maiocco and Carol Arias; her loving grandsons, Alexander Arias and Michael Arias; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas P. Maiocco; her father, John Migliore; her mother, Angelina Migliore; her brother, Peter Migliore; her sister, Mary Laezzo; her brother, Joseph Migliore; her sister, Clementina Suffredini; her sister, Antoinette Mizzoni; her sister, Rose Gresavage; and her sister, Jennie Fitzpatrick.
A visitation will be held at Parente Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road Fairfield, CT 06824, on Friday January 2nd, 2026, from 9:00am to 11:00am. Thanks to Aunt Celia I am a sewer. Crafter and baker. I remember sitting I. Her kitchen with my sewing machine. The dress was yellow with daisies on arms

Aunt Celia has a special place in my heart. I remember a time when I lost my Grandmother (Aunt Celia´s sister) and I was crying in private. Aunt Celia sat with me and comforted me until she knew I was ok. I will never forget that and I will never forget Aunt Celia. My deepest condolences to her daughters, grandchildren and everyone who knew her. All my love, Sherri Suffredini
