Chad Douglas Goodman

CHAD DOUGLAS GOODMAN, 41, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 30, 2024.

A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Chad was the son of Douglas and Vickie Loudermilk Goodman.   He was a master carpenter and took great pride in his craftmanship.  He was a member of Darien Baptist Church.  Chad was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and a good round of golf.  He had a passion for music and loved playing the guitar.  Above all else, his family had a special place in his heart.  He loved cutting up and will be fondly remembered for his jovial spirit and goofy sense of humor.

Surviving is his daughter, Emma-Kate Goodman; parents, Doug and Vickie Goodman; sister, Erica Wharton (Josh); nephews, Blake Goodman and Joshua Wharton, Jr., all of Aiken.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock with The Rev. Dr. Brad Willis officiating.  Private Interment will be in Darien Baptist Church Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Chris Lawson, Josh Wharton, Frankie Dennis, Chris Walker, Eric Gordon, Jeff Bacon and Jeremy Youngblood.
