Chad Douglas Holmes

Chad Douglas Holmes, 47, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1978, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Ron and Bobbie (Beard) Holmes.

Chad was a proud graduate of Franklin Township High School’s Class of 1996. After high school, he built a successful career as an Operations Manager with Southwest Dealer Services Inc., dedicating nearly 25 years to his profession. Known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and steady presence, Chad earned the respect and friendship of everyone he worked with.

On September 27, 2002, Chad married Kendra Stader in Evansville, Indiana. Together they shared 23 years of marriage and raised two children, Tyler and Kaleigh, who were the light of his life. He loved spending time with his family, cheering on his kids, and making memories together.

An avid enthusiast of gun rights, Chad was always eager to share his passion with others. His love for recreational shooting was a significant part of his life, and he cherished the time spent pursuing these hobbies with friends and family.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Ron. He is survived by his wife, Kendra; his children, Tyler and Kaleigh; his mother, Bobbie (Steven) Holmes-Lee; brothers, Shawn (Jenny) Holmes and Ian (Monique) Holmes; niece, Maddie Crandall; and nephews, Brendon Holmes, Wyatt Holmes, Preston Holmes, Elias Holmes, and David Samanns.

Chad will be remembered for his quiet strength, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. His kindness and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Chad’s life will be held at Heflebower Funeral Home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on Monday, November 17, 2025, with visitation between 10am-12pm and a small service beginning at noon. Please feel free to stop by to share laughs, memories, and reminiscing.
