Published by Legacy on Sep. 30, 2025.
Chad Everett Jimerson, age 53, of Carthage passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at The University of Kansas Hospital, after a courageous battle with heart disease related to childhood cancer.

Chad was born on May 30, 1972 in Joplin, MO to Everett and Cathy (Cress) Jimerson, they loved their beautiful baby boy. He attended Joplin Schools growing up. He married Sandra "Sandy" Friedli on August 13, 2011 in Joplin, MO. His greatest achievements & joy were his four children; Blaine, Caleb, Jude and Ella Jimerson. He was an avid gun collector, a NASCAR fan, & in his free time enjoyed going to the lake or gathering with friends for a dungeons & dragons game. Chad was also an avid football fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers. Chad loved cooking and found joy in trying new recipes regularly. Chad was a man of many talents, with a mind as sharp as his wit. He had a big personality and lived life on his own terms, often bringing humor and a unique perspective to any situation. His intelligence was particularly evident in his knowledge for history, science and machines. Chad's greatest role was that of a father and husband. He cherished his family above all else and took great pride in guiding and supporting them. Those who knew Chad will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest, with a smile on his face and a funny joke or song for everyone. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family would like to personally thank KU Medical CTSICU doctors and team for their exceptional care and support during the past several months.
