I met Chad through dance years ago; he was my first competitive dance partner, and quickly became one of my dearest friends. Chad had a kind and loving heart and an adventurous spirit. He always knew I needed an afternoon cup of coffee at competitions to prevent me from getting cranky; though, perhaps it was motivated by self-preservation. Always one to help a friend, he came to my rescue when my purse was stolen, and stayed with me until I could get the locks on my house changed. Once, when he visited Las Vegas, he managed to talk me into ziplining off the top of one of the casino rooftops, even though I have a tremendous fear of heights. I will miss him always.

I live in Asheville NC and was on the interstate at the time of his death. I want Chad's family to know that all of us here in town were devastated as the news spread. Motorcyclists are one big family no matter where they're from and even though we didn't know him personally we were all affected by his death. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I met Chad at Diamondback Saloon in Belleville. Or was it Diamonds and Spurs in Pontiac? Or was it...? We went to so many places to dance, who knows? But the last time I saw Chad was at Diamondback. I can still picture him standing on the stairway (which led to the dance floor), enjoying a beverage, and waiting for a song that he liked before asking someone to dance. He was a good dancer and I looked forward to those times that I was the lucky one to be asked. There was another memorable time when Julie G. was in town and all three of us went to the DIA. I was a little surprised to see him being as silly as we were, posing for pictures in front of statues and other pieces of art! And we hadn't even been to the Two James Spirits distillery yet... Although I haven't seen Chad in a number of years, I am very saddened to hear of his tragic accident and death. He had so much more living to do! Rest in peace, dear Chad. I hope you are boot scootin' to your hearts content in Heaven.
Hugs, Judy M.
