Chad Alan Reed, 43, of Oklahoma City, OK, formerly of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Oklahoma City.
Chad was born on March 30, 1981, to Dennis and Peggy (Frey) Reed in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Moorhead, MN, where he attended Moorhead High School. He began working in construction, specifically in siding and roofing.
Chad enjoyed fishing with his brother, Jason, and his father. He was a naturally gifted athlete and could have picked any sport and excelled. He enjoyed playing baseball, especially as a pitcher. Chad’s journey wasn’t always easy, but it was his own. It is a sure and certain hope that he has finally found the peace that so often alluded him during his lifetime.
Chad is survived by his children, Madison Neyens, Alex Hanson, and Lucy Reed; mother, Peggy Reed; siblings, Jason (Selena) Reed and Angel Reed; nieces, Claire and Ellen Reed; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. A livestream of the service will be available here on Chad’s webpage.
