Chad Tyler

Chad Tyler, 53, of Hamlet, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at PruittHealth in Rockingham.

He was born on April 6, 1972, to the late Charlie Nathaniel Tyler and Beulah Mae Lowery Tyler.

Chad was an automobile mechanic by trade and loved spending time tinkering with engines. He enjoyed trips to the beach, fishing, wrestling, and football. He also had a love for music, especially country music. He was known for having fun and making people laugh. Chad will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold Tyler and Robert Harold Tyler; and infant sister, Debra Ann Tyler.

Chad is survived by his wife, Wanda Clark Tyler of the home; sons, James Chadrick Locklear of Laurinburg and Brian Keith Tyler of Maxton; four grandchildren; two step-sons; brothers, Charlie Tyler (Donna) of Rockingham, Kenneth Wayne Tyler (Beth) of Rockingham, Haynes Tyler of Rockingham, Jerry William Tyler of Laurel Hill, and Glenn Tyler of Laurel Hill; and sisters, Rose Marie Maynor of Laurel Hill, Betty Jean Goebel (Don) of Laurel Hill, and Sheila Ann Bell of Hamlet.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Timber's Crossing Freewill Baptist Church in Rockingham.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Charlie Tyler officiating.

Burial will follow at Sycamore Hill Cemetery at 14901 Sycamore Church Road in Maxton.
