(Chalmers) Lavon was a good friend during most of high school. I only saw him a couple times after that, but we were sometimes in touch via the internet. He was always full of good mischief and silly fun. I always smiled with him. I also knew his sister. They both lived only a few blocks from me during our senior year. Lavon brought joy to many of us...and beyond. I'm smiling now. God bless!

We have had breakfast on the first Thursday of each month with Lavon for many years. A group of classmates from Iola met to enjoy breakfast together. We will most certainly miss Lavon. He was the one that started up these gatherings. God bless and sincere appreciation for all we have learned from him over the years.
