Charlene Chamberlain Frankum was born on December 14, 1934, in Henderson, Texas and passed away on January 21, 2026, in Gilmer, Texas.
Throughout her career, Charlene made a significant impact as the owner of several local businesses, including Rosewood Grocery, Stop & Shop, and Gilmer Home Center. Her commitment not only helped these businesses thrive but also brought joy and convenience to the community.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Kay Davidson of Gilmer, Sharon Gibson and husband Ricky of Gilmer; son, Calvin Hanzik and wife Rebecca of Avinger; stepson, Ricky Chamberlain and wife Debbie; stepdaughters, Twyla Chenault, Susan Hackett and husband Eddie; step son in law, Mike Johnson; brother, Leon Morris of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Brandie Davidson, Caleb Davidson and wife Jami, Michael Gibson and wife Tabitha, Rikki Seely and husband Joey, Seth Hanzik and wife Haley and Cannen Hanzik; great grandchildren, Cailee Henson and husband Leighton, Addie Davidson, Mally Davidson, Hugh Davidson, Dutch Gage, Olivia Everett, Michael Everett, Alyssa Harris and husband Trent, Trevor Seely, Cale Gibson, Jacob Gibson and Violet Hanzik; great great grandchildren, Zeke Everett Avila, Emmy Henson and Randy Henson, along with many step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Morris; husbands, Hack Chamberlain and Dean Frankum; son in law, Butch Davidson; two brothers and five sisters; stepson, Jeff Frankum and stepdaughter, Suzette Johnson.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Rosewood Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Charles Johnson and Bro. Donny Chamberlain. Interment to follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandie Davidson, Caleb Davidson, Michael Gibson, Rikki Seely, Seth Hanzik and Cannen Hanzik.
