Charlene Walters Green Adams passed away peacefully into the hands of God on November 14, 2023 with her family by her side. She was 84 years old. Charlene was born on August 17, 1939 in Laurel, Mississippi. She is survived by her son, Bill Green (Jessica), of Orange Beach, Alabama, daughter Lori Green, of Daphne, Alabama, sister, Bonnie Bryan (Chuck) of Mobile, Alabama. She leaves behind grandsons Hunter Green (Kayla) of Orange Beach, Alabama, William(Will) P. Green of Daphne, Alabama. Granddaughter Kristina Green of Daphne, Alabama. Great grandson Jacob Green, of Orange Beach, Alabama. Great granddaughters Emerysen and Emerald Green of Orange Beach, Alabama, Lilly and Daisy Green, of Daphne, Alabama , Justice Green of Pensacola, Florida and Mazzini Green of Daphne, Alabama.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents Halbert B. Walters of Chickasaw, Alabama, brother Donald L. Walters of Chickasaw, Alabama, sisters Francis Annette Napier of Mobile, Alabama, Brenda Karen Dycus of Mobile, Alabama and first husband Billy Green of Mobile, Alabama.
Charlene graduated from Vigor High School in 1953, The Mobile Infirmary/ Mobile College of Nursing School in 1976. She had a successful nursing career in the areas of cardiac and psychiatric nursing. She was a devoted nurse and loved by her coworkers and patients. She has been a loving mother, sister and friend.
Charlene had a sense of adventure and loved to read, sketch and watch movies. She enjoyed her Corvette lovingly called the BADHABT and was an avid Alabama football fan. Most of all, she loved to decorate and make her surroundings beautiful.
Charlene has been an inspiration and source of encouragement for her children and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
