CHARLENE HOLLAND, 72, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at home. Born in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 1, 1949, she was the daughter of James Forden and Gertrude Leila (Jes persen) Buschner. She married Robert Alan Holland on June 6, 1969 in Kalamazoo, Mich. Charlene was employed with American Electric in Fort Wayne for 14 years. They moved to Messick Lake full time in 2003 from Fort Wayne. "What A Ride We Had." Survivors include her husband, Robert Holland of Messick Lake; sons, David (Heather) Holland of Warren, Steven (Nancy) Holland of Helotes, Texas and Matthew (Sarah) Holland of Fort Wayne; and six grandchildren, Tyler, Elise, Elizabeth, Hunter, Harrison, and Henry. A gathering of family and friends is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Hite Funeral Home, in Kendallville. Memorial donations may be made to Premier Hospice.
