Our beloved wife, momma, and Nana was called home to the Lord on Saturday, December 7th 2024. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family after a very short journey with cancer.

Char, as she lovingly became known by her husband of 58 years, was born on July 9th 1950 to Bobbie and Charles Martin in Cincinnati, Ohio. She fell in love with her husband Bruce McGuire at first sight and they were married January 20th 1966. She had two sons, Brian of West Chester Ohio and Jody (Lisa) of Milan Indiana. She also had 7 grandchildren, Kennedy, Chandler, Brayden, Emma, Peyton, Ryan, and Charlotte.

She was a bus driver for Lakota Local School district and a hairdresser. She was an active member of her church, Turning Point in West Chester. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and traveling with her friends. Char loved her family so much and was a proud and loving grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Bobbi and Charles Martin as well as two of her sisters, Donna Daniel and Jill Cameron. She is survived by her siblings Carol (Denny) McGuire, Wendy (Linda) Martin, and Chuck (Elizabeth) Martin, as well as Jimmy Daniel (husband of Donna).

She will be missed by many friends and family who take comfort in knowing she is now with her wonderful Lord and Savior.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Hodapp Funeral Home (8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069) from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery.
