Charlene Rose Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 26, 2025.
Charlene Mikuce Rose, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Raised in Chicago, Charlene later made her home in Bolingbrook and then Coal City, Illinois.
Charlene's greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart, and nothing made her happier than caring for her family, supporting them, and watching them grow. She also loved gardening and tending to her flowers and plants. Whether she was nurturing her garden, offering gentle encouragement, or simply sharing a quiet moment, Charlene made every person she loved feel valued and understood.
She spent many years as a pharmacy technician with Walgreens, a role she took great pride in. Her kindness, dedication, and steady presence touched countless lives-both within her family and through her work.
Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert, sisters Judith, Evelyn, Lillian, and brother Clifford.
She is survived by her loving children: Lisa (John) French, Michael Rose, Deborah (Blake) Rose, and Robert (Kelly) Rose; her beloved grandchildren: Jessica, John, James, Rhiannon, Mia, Isabella, Nicolete, Alexis, and Caylee; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Luna and Abigail. Each of them carries a part of her heart and her legacy. Charlene was also deeply loved by her nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Charlene will be remembered for her sense of humor, her unwavering love for her family, and the way she made every person feel like they mattered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Charlene's life will be planned soon.
