Charlene Stark Obituary
Charlene was born on January 18, 1951 to Robert and Patricia Bauer in Marshfield, WI. She grew up in Janesville and graduated from Craig High School in 1969.
Charlene met John Stark at her aunt's wedding. John lived in Mosinee, WI, and would drive to Janesville each weekend to visit Charlene. On June 21, 1969, Charlene and John got married in Mosinee. They were happily married until John's death in 2024. Charlene and John had two children, Thomas and Kristen. Charlene and her family lived in Mosinee, WI until 1989, when they purchased P&R Restaurant and Bar Supply from Charlene's mother and stepfather and moved to Janesville. They owned P&R Restaurant and Bar Supply and The Party Shop in Janesville for many years. Charlene also worked at Lab Safety.
Charlene enjoyed spending time at the camper in Newville, WI. Charlene and John were snowbirds and spent the cold Wisconsin winters in Zephyrhills, FL. Charlene especially did not miss the cold and snow! She loved to sit in the sun and spend time with her Florida friends. Charlene and John traveled to Taiwan, China, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada, as well as other destinations. She loved to travel with her family, and her good friends, Jim and Diane.
Charlene is survived by her daughter, Kristen Stark, and daughter-in-law Christy Stark. Charlene especially loved her grandchildren, Catherine and Ava Stark, and Fiona and Isaac Stark. She loved her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John, her son Thomas, and her parents. Charlene will be deeply missed by her family.
Charlene's family would like to thank the ICU Staff at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville for their compassionate care during her final days.
A Celebration of Charlene's life is planned for May 16, 2026 in Janesville. Charlene will be buried with her husband, John, in Mosinee. HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY assisted the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.henke-clarson.com.
