Funeral service for Charles Eugene Aebi, age 83, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Jefferson United Methodist Church, with Pastor Kateena Aebi Roberts officiating, with burial following at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 pm, Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the funeral home.
Charles was born on August 8, 1942, in Enid, to Carl and Laverna (Schmitz) Aebi, and passed away on March 10, 2026 surrounded by his family.
Charles married Johnnie Ellington on May 25, 1968, in Sayre, OK, they had one son Shawn Aebi. Charles was drafted in the Air Force during Vietnam, and retired in 1988. After retirement, he worked at Vance Air Force at Northrop as an aircraft mechanic, retiring after thirty-two years.
Charles enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and bus tours, he was an avid fisherman, and a casino connoisseur.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife Johnnie Mae; two brothers, Bob Aebi and Gary Aebi. He is survived by one son, Shawn, and his wife Jennifer Aebi; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Delvin Aebi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Charles' name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodian of the funds.
