LIMA -- Charles "Greg" G. Allen, age 71, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at 5:51 p.m., at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born March 27, 1954, in Lima to Charles Allen and Mary (Gauvey) Allen who preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Shawnee Township. He married Jackie (Greene) Allen who survives.
Greg was a 1972 graduate of Shawnee High School, where he treasured the many lifelong friendships from there (and you know who you are!). He retired after many years selling Freightliner Trucks with Stoops, where he had many friendships with his customers. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and a cherished grandfather. He loved trips to Canada fishing with his family, playing golf and Budweiser.
Also surviving are his children: Corbin Cory (Fiancée, Dr. Anghela Paredes) Shaw of Akron, OH, Katelin (Harrison) West of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Colleen (Aaron Kong) Allen of Denver, CO; grandchildren: William & Hannah West and English Lab Lexie; his sister-in-law, Michelle Allen and nephews Aaron & Zach Allen all of Lima,
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Allen.
The family would like to thank dear friend and neighbor, Bill Sherbourne, for all of the great help he has given us over the many months since Greg became ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Dog Warden, 1165 Seriff Rd., Lima, OH 45805 or Mercy Health Compassus Home Hospice, 545 W. Market St, Suite 200, Lima, OH 45801.
