Charles “Steve” Stephen Atchley, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 3, 2025, in Kansas, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Born on November 20, 1959, in Poteau, Oklahoma, Steve was a man who lived life with enthusiasm and joy.
For ten years, he proudly owned and operated "The Pizza Place" in Westville, Oklahoma, where he was not only known for his delicious food but also for his vibrant personality. Steve had a passion for making people laugh and cherished moments spent with his family. He was a dedicated fan of Oklahoma Sooner football, and whenever time allowed, he found solace in fishing.
Steve was a U.S. Navy veteran, a service that he respected deeply, embodying the values of duty and commitment throughout his life.
Steve spent countless hours on the phone talking with his mother and siblings - those conversations meant the world to him and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Chavela Anderson, and his children: Blaine Atchley, Brittni Arnold and husband Cory, Brian Atchley and wife Jennie, Landyn Atchley, and Jeramiah Atchley. His legacy continues through eight grandchildren: Paige Atchley, Brooklynn Atchley, McKenna Canada, Briar Arnold, Eden Arnold, Hagan Loughridge, Mila Atchley, and Kolter Atchley. He is also survived by his siblings: Tommy Atchley, Wayne Atchley, Donna Newton, Mona Farris, Donnie Anderson, Curtis Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Donna Baker, Kenny Atchley, and Wanda Duim.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, Joe Atchley and Ralph Anderson, and his Nana, Mary Stephens.
Visitation services for Steve will be held on May 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, located at 711 S Main St, Grove, Oklahoma. Steve will be laid to rest in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma
Charles Stephen Atchley will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
