Charles Kenneth Austin, 82, of Pittsburg, TX passed away on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Chuck was born April 3,1943 in Niles, MI to Dororthy and A.J Austin.
Chuck married the love of his life Nancy Ann Miller on November 28, 1964. They were married 61 wonderful loved filled years. Marilyn was born in love on January 18, 1972 and Christina, the baby, was born July 17, 1975, they stopped at perfection there.
Chuck worked at Aldora, Kawneer, Jack Spurlock and many of his own businesses he opened with his best friend and partner in crime Sherry “Jerry” Ayeli. He retired from work in 2013. They finally moved out to East Texas in 2022 and fulfilled the dream of country living.
He loved, in his younger rebel years, racing his Chevelle. Always loved fishing, hunting, hiking, taking pictures, or just being outdoors. He loved his pets as much as he loved his kids, (maybe more) He loved playing games with his family, Old Maid was his favorite. He will forever be the Old Maid.
Remaining to love and cherish Charles’ memory are his wife Nancy, daughters: Marilyn Pingel (Tim) of Niles, MI, Christina Austin (Jerry) of Grapevine, TX, grandson: Wesley Warrington, TX, brother: John Austin (Charlene) FL, sister: Audrey Shannon, KY. Several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Charles in death are his father: A.J. Austin, stepmother: Lois Austin Westfall Root, mother: Dorothy Austin Gant, stepfather: William B Gant, brothers: Rollie and Larry Austin, sisters: Mary Gilbert, Edith Elrod, Jean Roberson, Patricia Thompson.
Memorial service will be February 28, 2026, 2-4pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine.
Love you mucho Daddio aka “BBC”! You did everything right and always gave us more than we could ever want. You were the best daddy ever! Forever wanting a hug, your three baby girls.
