Chuck was born in
Centralia, WA and lived in the Evergreen State all his life. Bowling was a family sport that Chuck learned at a young age. He loved hosting or joining family and friends for card or board games. Chuck enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved to snowmobile in Spokane. Fishing and hunting were two of his favorite hobbies. He loved to can meats, veggies and fruits and he enjoyed smoking meats. Year-round on his Blackstone, he loved to grill steaks, chicken, salmon and halibut. Chuck loved to reload a little bit of everything for his rifles, his pistols and his shotguns. Chuck cherished his RC cars and his train sets. His grandfather Colby Blurton worked for the railroad. Chuck's DIY skills included fixing just about anything at the house or in a vehicle. He had master knowledge of electricity from his grandfather, Arthur Ayers, who was an electrician for Centralia City Light. Chuck enjoyed motivational speakers and loved to read, mostly spy and mystery fiction. Chuck grew spiritually reading the Bible.
Chuck graduated Centralia High School in 1984, and often dressed on Fridays in a suit and tie. Chuck left for TX for the Air Force in October 1985. Chuck was married in June of 1986.
Chuck and Debbie welcomed their daughter Sarah in 1990 and a son Aaron in 1992. Chuck was very proud of his children and their many accomplishments in their lives.
Customer Service and managing people came easy to Chuck. He started his career in the restaurant management business at McDonald's, moving over to Taco Bell stores. Chuck later went to work for Jack in The Box, in WA & ID. He briefly sold Life Insurance for Franklin. Coming back to Western WA, Chuck worked at Baydo's RV. Chuck's last job was as a Supervisor at Cardinal Glass as their Safety Auditor, often travelling.
Chuck went back to school late in life to get his Associates. He graduated on the President's List from Centralia College.
Chuck and Laura were married in August 2021. They welcomed their Welsh-Corgi Pomeranian dog Buddy into their home in February 2022. Chuck Ayers will forever be her husband until we see him again in Eternity.
Chuck was predeceased by his father, Chuck Senior; his grandparents: Colby & Myrtle Blurton and Arthur & Helen Ayers; and his best buddy Cal. Chuck was a generous, loving and giving man of his time and talents.
We would like to thank the ICU and Palliative Care teams of nurses and doctors at Swedish Hospital - First Hill. Their care and kindness for Chuck and his family these past three months was greatly appreciated.
