What a wonderful person! Chuck was always kind and helpful, When Dennis and I decided to do a DIY project of removing brick from a wall to create a window, Chuck came to show us how to do it. These were the days before Cell phones and internet so no You Tube Channel could help us then. He even loaned us a tool we needed. I am so sorry for the loss and send my condolences and love to his family.

Chuck was a good friend and we had a lot of fun together when I worked for him and his Dad in the early 80´s. My sincere condolences to Toni and their children.

I´m so thankful to have known Chuck throughout our childhood in Childress. When his dad hired me for a summer job in their brick laying business, I got to know Chuck even better which lasted throughout our high school days and into our years at Texas Tech. The first batch of "Mud" aka mortar mix I prepared was a tad soupy, I´ll never forget Chuck came over and in his gentle style explained again how to properly mix the mud. Lesson learned Chuck, as I recall it was 1 bag of masonry cement, 14 scoops of sand and a buck of water. 50+ years I still remember!
Since Chuck had the wheels in Lubbock, he would most often pick me up at my dorm for a Sunday dinner when the dorm cafeteria was closed. Thanks, Chuck, for not letting me go hungry for Sunday dinner.

One dinner in particular stands out, Shakey´s Pizza Parlor on 50th street. Oh, the joys of pizza and beer at the legal drinking age of 18, oh my! First time I ever had freshly made pizza Chuck said "slow down on the cracked red pepper," well I didn´t listen, my lips were on fire for hours. Lesson learned again, thanks Chuck.

One of the most memorable times I had with Chuck in Childress was riding in the back seat of his Pontiac Firebird and hearing for the first time the band "America" sing their hit song "A Horse With No Name." I thought WOW best song I´ve ever heard. Thanks for introducing me to America, I still have the album. I´m guessing Chuck´s recording format was either an 8-track tape or a cassette player. Only he knows for sure.

Glad to have known you buddy, thanks for all the good times and memories. You are the BEST! As I´m about to post this message guess which song came on the Radio? Yep "A Horse With No Name." Is that a God Wink moment or what? You made that happen, didn´t you?

We miss you,

He was a great boss for Jerry Henderson for many years. Was shocked to hear of his passing. Asking Jesus protection to watch over the family.
