Richland Hills, Texas - Charles David (Dave) Bornheim, 65, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dave was a 1974 graduate of Brewer High School and majored in Business at Stephen F. Austin University. Professionally, Dave worked in auto sales for over 20 years, in the insulation industry as a project manager, and in catastrophe management for the SBA during Hurricanes Rita and Katrina.
Dave served Richland Hills as a member of the Citizens Police Academy, and as co-host of both the annual neighborhood Halloween Carnival, and the 4th of July Parade for 20 years. Dave loved life, enjoyed all sports, and he shared his love of golf, hunting, fishing, boating and the art of storytelling with family and friends. He was a dreamer and visionary, and was always the best caretaker of his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be remembered by all for his years of love and devoted dedication.
A loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, Dave leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Sherilyn; daughter, Jessica Farish with son-in-love Nicholas (Nic); grandsons, Brady and Bailey Farish; brother, Tom Bornheim and Sylvia; stepsister, Valerie Paulsen Hinkel and Clark, and brothers and sisters-in-love; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Bornheim; mother, Marianne Ortner Bornheim Paulsen; stepfather, Herbert A. Paulsen and his daughter, Amy Nicole Bornheim.
Dave's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Inurnment will follow the ceremony at Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Worth at 2:30 PM.
