Charles J. Brancheau, 92 years of Temperance, MI, died Friday February 28, 2025, at Flower Hospital with family surrounding him. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Thursday March 6, 2025, from 3-8PM with rosary at 7 PM. He will lie in state on Friday March 7, 2025, from 10 AM until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Temperance. Fr. Robert Slaton will officiate. The burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI.
Born October 13, 1932, in Newport, MI. Charles was the son of Mildred & LaVerne Brancheau. Helen Sehl was his partner for 45 yrs. Charles went to Summerfield High School until his junior year then moved to Arkansas where he graduated in 1951. Charles served in the Army as a Corporal in the Korean War in 1953-54. He worked at the post office for 30 years and retired in 1993. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Catholic War Vets. Charles was a Master Gardener and loved fishing, woodworking, and spending time out in his Man Cave. He loved going to family events and parties and spending time with all his loved ones.
Survivors include: his Sons Chuck Jr. (Peggy) Brancheau, Michael (Nancy) Brancheau, Joseph Brancheau; Partner Helen Sehl (Son Randy); Grandchildren, Derek (Amanda) Brancheau, Steven (Katy) Brancheau, Jason (Morgan) Brancheau, Chelsea Wright-Brancheau; Great-Grand Children, Cole, Payton, Brantley, Jaxton, Kinley, Nora, Jason, Jace, Sophie, Bowen. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers George and Roland (Tom).
Memorial contributions can be made to: St. Anthony Catholic Church.
