How ironic that, as I contemplated what I'd like to say and as I opened up the "guest book", the very first entry I read was that of a colleague whom I had worked with at that very jucture of Charlie's carreer. I didn't realize Bob Burgess was such a rookie at the time. Although Charlie was never my supervisor, I too feel very honored to have known him.

He was a very gentle soul whose style and manerism I admired. Please accept my thoughts as well as my sincere condolences to his family.

In June 1970 when I came to work at the IRS, Charlie was my first supervisor. He took a young lad, who had just graduated from college and didn't know a thing, under his wing and taught him how to become a professional investigator. Charlie was well respected and loved by everyone. Retiring after 32 1/2 years I am proud to say Charlie was the best supervisor that I ever had. It was truly an honor to have known such a great man. Please accept my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Mr. Bryant,
Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. It was an honor to assist in caring for Mr. Bryant while he was in the hospital. I thoroughly enjoyed our chats and was always amazed at his wit even though he was so sick. I had the pleasure of meeting several of Mr. Bryant's family members and quickly realized what a loving and caring family he had, which is a testament to the wonderful man he must have been. I consider it an honor to know him, if even for a short time. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

Frances, Charlie was among the Greats. I got to know y'all when you lived on Avalon Drive. Charlie & I spent mcuh time together walking and talking. I always called him on his birthday. His mind and memory excelled. I just want you to know that you will be on my mind and in my prayers as you try to adjust to a new way of life without him. Love,

Anne-Merle, so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember seeing your parents at a dance and they were both so vivacious. You and your family are in my thoughts.

To the family of Charlie Bryant

It was a pleasure to know Charlie. He was a great individual and a great christian. I recently saw Charlie, while I was playing music for a Church social and he was truly a good dancer. My most sincere sympathy to the family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Charlie at the Virginia State Police. He was a fine person and a true gentleman.
