Charles James Bullock

’’Charles James Bullock, better known as CJ, was born on November 12th, 1974, and went to be with the Lord on February 4th, 2025. 

CJ was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He attended his local schools, graduated from Hickman Mills High School and took automotive courses at Longview Community College. CJ grew up learning how to fix cars since the time he could walk. His father spent many hours teaching him the basics of auto repair. From those early beginnings, his passion for cars would turn into his lifelong career.  

Growing up, he shared many camping and canoeing adventures with family and friends. Most weekends in the summer were spent at the lake enjoying fishing and water fun. His love of the outdoors started here, and he shared that same enjoyment with his own family. His youth was filled with trips in his grandpa's semi-truck, where he got to see much of the Midwest. CJ was involved in many sports and Boy Scouts growing up. Joining the Civil Air Patrol and learning how to fly was a proud accomplishment that he achieved as a young adult. His family attended many Renaissance Fairs, auto races, concerts, and every holiday was filled with family where meals, laughter, and memories were made. His lifelong buddies known to each other as, "Da-Boyz," also shared adventures 4-wheeling, shooting guns, bowling, mud racing, Chiefs games and whatever trouble they could get themselves into.  

CJ met Christine, “Chris” in 1994 and quickly became each other's best friend and Love. They dated for six years before joining in marriage on March 3, 2001. Together they welcomed three beautiful and wonderful children, James Wyatt, Savannah Dawn and Peyton Euguene. His children were the light of his life. He would do and buy anything for them and would rarely tell his children, "no." He was a very gentle and patient father who always made time for his kids. He always wanted to be a best friend before anything else to his kids. They took many trips as a family to various places, especially CJ's favorite, The Ozarks and Warsaw. CJ found a new hobby of boating, and together they would all enjoy the surrounding lakes. Many fond memories were shared, and a day never passed without laughter in the home.  

CJ was as devoted to his career as he was his wife and children. He loved helping people and was hardworking. He took his position seriously. He was never late and rarely took a day off. He felt pride in knowing he was keeping people on the roads safe. He knew hundreds of people in the community and truly enjoyed the relationships he had made over the years. He was close with his boss and co-workers and considered them his family as well. He could always depend on them if he was ever in a bind. 

CJ's gentle and funny spirit was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

CJ is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grandma JoAnne Church, Grandma Regina Bullock, and Grandpa Charles Lowe. He is also preceded in death by Aunts Connie Lowe, Cathy Reeves, Helen Berbrick, Uncle Dale Lowe, and Sister-in-law Alyssa Dawn Terrey. 

CJ is survived by his wife, Christine Ruth Bullock, and their children, James Wyatt Bullock, Savannah Dawn Bullock, and Peyton Eugene Bullock. CJ also leaves behind his mom, Glenis Bullock, stepfather, Bob Trowbridge, Step-siblings Brett Trowbridge, Sean Trowbridge, and Amy Trowbridge, In-laws Bill and Bonnie Terrey, Sister-in-law Corrie Anderson (Phil), nieces Emma Anderson, Leah Anderson, and Brother-in-law Jon Terrey (Katherine).’
