Charles "Hub" Burnett passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family who loved and cherished him deeply.

Charles was born on November 10, 1938, and was just a few days away from celebrating his 87 th birthday.

Hub's journey through life was marked by devotion, service, and a great love for the outdoors. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, dedicating himself to duty served overseas with honor and courage. Following his military service, Hub built a long and respected career at Dayco Corporation as a skilled millwright, where his hard work and craftsmanship left a lasting mark.

He was a true outdoorsman at heart. Whether he was fishing in the quiet mountain waters, camping under the stars, riding horseback on his favorite trails, or showing his racking horses with great pride. At his home, Hub found great joy in growing and tending his garden. Everyone who knew Hub was aware of his amazing handcrafted and detailed knives that he shared with friends and family. Hub was a man of the Baptist faith and had served as a Deacon at his church.

Charles will always be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, and in their words, "He was our rock."

The Burnett family kindly asks that we always remember Hub for the way he lived his life and his strong faith in God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Hamilton and her husband Steven Hamilton; a son-in-law, Brett Chandler; and also his grandson, Blake Chandler.

Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia S. Burnett; daughters, Tami Chandler and Gail Williams and her husband Mark "Opie" Williams; a son, Kenneth Burnett; grandchildren, Ashley Morgan, Alison Reece (Zach), James Hamilton (Jessica), and Jacob Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Shay Ivester, Jackson Hamilton, Silas Reece, and Abel Reece.

To honor Mr. Burnett's request, no formal services will be held.
