Charles Edward “Sycamore” Cantrell, 77, of Payneway, Arkansas, departed this life on, Friday, August 8, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on December 28, 1947, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Harold and Norma Wheeler Cantrell. Charles was a lifetime member of Corner’s Chapel Baptist Church, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, addicted to watching old westerns but his true passion was farming and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, one brother: James Cantrell and two sisters: Brinda Swan and Mary Carolyn Cantrell.
Charles is survived by three brothers: Bob Cantrell of Payneway, Arkansas, Dennis Cantrell of Trumann, Arkansas and Doyle Cantrell of Indianola, Mississippi, one sister: Dianne Grant of Rogers, Arkansas, several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 10:00a.m. until service time at Corner’s Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, Arkansas
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Corner’s Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
