Charles “Chuck” Olan Wilson, 72, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away February 21, 2025. He was born July 18, 1952, in Newport, Arkansas to the late Dewey and Melvia Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tammy Selvage. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Vickie Williford Wilson; children, Summer Carney (Michael), Jennifer Wilson, and Dakota Wilson (Samantha); grandchildren, Reid and Rayden; sister, Vickie Owens; along with a host of family and friends.
Chuck was a jack of all trades with a special love for vehicles. He survived years of drag racing to spend decades and thousands of miles driving across the country as a truck driver. In his spare time, Chuck worked on restoring antique cars. He also enjoyed finding new hobbies, through one of his true passions, meeting new people and learning their stories.
He mentored many family and friends after achieving sobriety on February 28, 1992. He was an involved member of the Jacksonville and Wolf Streets Alcoholics Anonymous Chapters. Chuck was always someone to help out those in need and help them in their time of need. Through his sobriety he also found his Salvation and led a life for Christ for the last 32 years. He was an active member of Bayou Meto Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chuck’s memory to CARTI Conway or your local Alcoholics Anonymous chapter.
