Charles Everett Cochran was born on April 24, 1937, at Byron, Arkansas, to the late William Boyce Cochran and Ruby Battles Cochran.
During his early years he attended school at the one room schoolhouse at Byron, as well as the "Red Barn" on the Byron Road southwest of Salem, taught by the late Marie Walling (husband Donald).

While in Kansas City, Charles worked for Fischer Body (General Motors) for several years. In 1967 the family moved back to the family farm near Byron. The next year he, his father, and a local carpenter built the home where he would live the rest of his life.
Charles leaves to mourn his passing two sons, Bruce Cochran (Liz) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Barry Cochran of Cordoua, Tennessee; daughter, Cathy Manes (Steve) of Salem, Arkansas; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Georgia), parents (Boyce and Ruby Cochran), two sisters (Treva Taylor and Betty Price), and brother (Wharton Cochran).
