Charles Leon Coning

World Traveler, Charles Leon Coning, age 73, of Springfield, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Morrilton, Arkasas. He was born April 14, 1943 in Greenville, Ohio a son of Cleo Berlin Coning and Velma Sleppy Coning. He retired from the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion and Hattieville Family Worship Center. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Jean Willeford Coning of Sprinfield; sisters, Jane Gilbert of Ohio; JoDell Coning of Florida; brother, Robert Coning of Florida; children, Jennifer Coning Yancey and husband Earnest of Springfield; Rusty Coning and wife Kathleen of Bryant; grandchildren, Mitchell Coning, Stephanie Yancey, Christopher Coning, and Alexander Coning, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Berlin (Bud) Coning. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Hattieville Family Worship Center with Bro. John Chapman officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Rusty Coning, Mitchell Coning, Christopher Coning, Alexander Coning, Jennifer Yancey, and Stephanie Yancey. Arrangements by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
