The Conner family holds a special place in our hearts. When my dad died, Chuck and Phyllis invited the entire family down just to get a chance to relax, unwind, and reminisce. It meant so much to us. And it was typical of their empathy and their wonderful neighborliness.
Chuck's calm, reassuring, and folksy presence became a signature of the Arden Fair for decades. Hearing "Oh What A Beautiful Mornin'" at the Arden Fair has now taken on a permanent special place in our hearts. We'll always think of Chuck.
Our sincerest sympathies to one of the finest families we've been fortunate to call neighbors.

We were saddened to hear about Chuck's passing. He was a funny, kind, and gentle giant. Our condolences go out to all of the family, and especially to Phyllis. I regret that we will not be able to make to his memorial celebration.

Phyllis, Molly had called me about Chuck. I am so very, very sorry for your great loss. I remember what a handsome young man he was when at Berea. If you ever come to Berea it would be nice to see you. Barbara "Byrd" Power

"Mr Conner" was one of many Arden dad's looking over us Hannover girls. He always seemed like a gentle giant to me. Wishing him safe passages with Dan. My warmest thoughts and love go out to Phyllis ("Mrs Conner"), Kay, Mike and all the grandchildren.

I was Chuck and Phyllis's neighbor for nearly 40 years. It was great coming home up our shared drive-way to find Chuck at the mailbox or getting his paper, where we could talk for a while. He watched my daughters grow up,as I watched his children become adults. I was always welcomed as a visitor. Dinners,a glass of wine, having my grandchildren feed his fish in the yard....all wonderful memories. My lawn could never be as trimmed as his,so I never tried. Of all the people who lived in the Ardens, I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor.
