Charles J. Corrao, 89, of East Greenville, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Angeline (Caprio) and Joseph Corrao. He was the loving husband of the late Sheila (Hyland) Corrao.
Charles grew up in a close-knit Italian family in Norristown. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army where he was stationed all over Europe. He met the love of his life, Shelia, after returning home from the Army and together they built a beautiful family. They moved to the Upper Perkiomen Valley in 1972 where he has been an active member the community for over 50 years. Charles worked as a computer program analyst for UNIVAC and Quaker Chemical before he and Sheila started a craft business. He enjoyed acting at the DCP Theatre, working as the starter at Hickory Valley Golf Club, and playing poker at the Greenlane Firehouse and the Owls Club. Above all, family was the most important thing in his world. He loved supporting his children and grandchildren in anything they were involved in.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Craig Corrao (Kate Coll) and Chris Corrao (Lynn) and grandchildren, Charlie, Tim, Sam, and Drew. Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Vullings.
There will be no services at this time.
