Charles "Chuck" W. Cottone, 80, of Exton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Eagleview Landing with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen "Kathy" McNulty Cottone, with whom he recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Born in Scranton, Pa, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Althea Carlucci Cottone.

Chuck was a devoted father to his three sons and avid sports fan. He spent many years coaching his sons in baseball and basketball. He loved the Eagles and Phillies. For years he was a season ticket holder when the Phillies played at the Vet. Chuck and Kathy loved golf and were members at Whitford Country Club where Chuck served as President for two years. Following a remarkably successful career with Merck, Chuck retired in 1995. He and Kathy then moved to St. Simons Island Georgia for retirement where they lived for more than twenty years. During that time, they continued their passion for golf, developing numerous close friendships at the Hampton Club (now the King and Prince). Family vacations for their children were spent on St. Simon's, particularly when Chuck and Kathy hosted Thanksgiving. Their love for St. Simons was infectious and will continue in their children and grandchildren going forward. Chuck strongly supported land preservation through Saint Simon's Land Trust and the One Hundred Miles organization.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his sons, Kevin C. Cottone and his wife Robin and Greg P. Cottone and his wife Michele; a sister, Ann Louise Price and by five grandchildren, Brendan, Corey (Sarah), Allie, Ava, and Zac. He was predeceased by his son, Brian.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 1:45-2:45 p.m.

Interment will be private with the family.
